Art League of Fort Bend was founded in 1957.
Today we are a community of
over 170 dynamic, talented artists.

Art League of Fort Bend is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 1957 and continues to celebrate a rich history of supporting the arts in the Fort Bend County community.

Our mission is to encourage artistic development and to cultivate an appreciation for the arts through education, exhibitions and community outreach.

Join us: members get access to monthly online demos. Attend classes: many of our members also teach their skills to our community, using our classroom spaces. The Art Center

Prepare to be surprised when you visit our home: the Fort Bend Art Center.

Here you will find every form of visual art supported by the Gallery:  paintings, drawings, sculptures, woodwork, stained glass, photography, digital art, mixed media, jewelry, ceramics and kiln fired glass, each created through the eyes of our regional artists. The artwork in the Mayde W. Butler Gallery is for everyone to enjoy and is all available for purchase. The center also offers a fascinating variety of vintage and antique items for sale, and a unique gift shop stocked with budget-friendly gift selections created by our members.

Fort Bend Art Center is a multi-arts facility managed by volunteer members of the Art League of Fort Bend.  It functions as a shared space for artists and art enthusiasts to create, display and experience art through shows, exhibits and learning opportunities.  Studios are rented by over a dozen artists-in-residence, and visitors to the FBAC are encouraged to watch as artists create their work.

We provide a place for artists to work, teach and be appreciated.  Visiting artists are invited to offer classes by renting the instructional classroom. The FBAC also supports the music arts and word crafters, offering a studio for guitar lessons and a forum for local writers.  We are advocates of the value of all types of art.  We encourage people to participate in two Lone Star Art Guild qualifying art shows annually and to partner with us in special community displays.  The Art League of Fort Bend is proud to be a member of the Texas-designated Cultural Arts District and the Rosenberg Art Alliance.  We actively participate in Rosenberg’s Main Street Program’s numerous community events.
