Linda Pietz
From the moment she discovered M.C. Escher’s tessellations while still in art school, it was love at first sight. Linda has worked as a commercial artist and later starting designing needlework patterns for Bucilla and Dimensions along with having her own line of needlepoint patterns. She has co-authored five books with sister Nola Heidbreder and regularly contributes for Rug Hooking Magazine. Her work has been featured in a number of craft books. She has designed over five hundred patterns for traditional rug hooking. Linda has extensive teaching experience to all ages and both in the classroom and across the country. She loves teaching tessellation in an easy way where everyone can succeed.
Who isn’t fascinated by M.C. Escher’s amazing tessellation designs? In this workshop you will explore four different approaches to creating your own tessellations with very simple supplies. Linda will walk you through all five techniques and give you time to test out your tessellations. You will be amazed at how easy it is to create your own M.C. Escher style tessellations.
