A Note from President Linda Pietz

We have two exciting field trips coming up for the enjoyment of our members. One in May as noted in red below. Then another scheduled for June to the Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange.

Fellow artists, you are invited to go on a planned Field Trip to the Texas Art Asylum in downtown Houston at 1719 Live Oak, Unit L,77003. A time to enjoy your friends and new friends as you search for the best deals, surprise finds and be amazed at what is there! You can sign up here so transportation can be planned.

Date: May 14th, Wednesday

Place: arrive at Gallery 9:15 AM

Leave: for Texas Art Asylum 9:30 AM prompt

Suggested $10 donation for gas money to the drivers

Enjoy the HUNT for two hours

Heading Back to Gallery in time for lunch at one of the local eateries with your friends.


This is our June field trip to the Texas Quilt Museum at 140 W Colorado Street, La Grange. Please sign up early here so we can plan transportation.

Arrive at Gallery: 8:30 AM

Leave for Museum: 8:45 AM est arrival 10:15AM

Suggested $10 Donation for gas to the drivers

Museum cost: $10 each

Bring money for Lunch in area

Estimated arrival back at Gallery: 4 PM


April demo was well attended to hear Nina Struthers talk about her 50+ years of entrepreneurship to have a thriving art business. Lots of patience and persistence, face to face marketing was discussed via a great slide show.

the Art Alliance to paint benches!

Two of our members, Amy Cassidy and Bobbie Davis, had their designs selected for the bench re-dos sponsored by the Art Alliance of Rosenerg: Here are their finished pieces to be placed in Historical Downtown Rosenberg.

Bullets from the Board announced at May General Meeting

  • Alexa speakers have been added to the Gallery and Gift Shop to play music. The system is set on automatic, please do not change the music.

Action Item: Diane Whitmarsh will check the instructions, the speakers may be on a timer.

  • Show invoices worked well, 87 artists, $2884. Working on simplifying registration: you will just have to sign in and record information via LSAG only.

  • Pennant type signs are not allowed by the City in Historic Downtown Rosenberg.

  • We have a new You Tube Account since the old password has not been recovered.

  • The Board has scheduled a planning retreat for June 14th.

The Artisan Gift Shop patio has been cleared of weeds !

Now, those interested in learning how to make concrete containers to hold plants and create garden decor items, PLEASE contact Bobbie Davis. This is First phase to have an oasis for our members to enjoy plien aire, coffee, or just to meditate. If you are thinning out your gardens of plants, have extra tools, dirt, fertilizer let Bobbie know ([email protected] or 305-310-6008 -text first).
