We are looking for artists that fit the selection criteria:

1. Write an Artist statement (500 words at least)

• An artist’s statement is an essay that helps people understand an artist’s work and creative ideas, like sharing your artistic vision, explaining your creative process.

2. High quality but also distinct in its aesthetic appeal. Great composition, very good color palette, emphasizing elements of art and principles of design.

3. Sustainability: it’s about the artist’s ability to remain relevant and productive over time.

4. To consider the artist’s market appeal, the potential for future sales (track record of successful sales)

5. Look for artists whose works tell stories that resonate with audiences and provoke thought.

6. Art should be captivating and provoke an emotional response in the audience.

7. Have a history of successful exhibitions, awards or recognition.

8. Artists who demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and a willingness to collaborate.

ARTIST AGREEMENT

• The ALFB featured artist of the month showcase will be selected by the Jury Committee.

• Artists need to meet the “Criteria” and follow ALFB policies.

• All entries must be original works - no reproductions. Works may include paintings, drawings, mixed media, photographs, prints, ceramics, sculptures, jewelry, digital art and fiber art.

• Entries must remain for the duration of the month and be picked up on the scheduled dates. ALFB reserves the right to decline any entry or withdraw any entry at its discretion. ALFB reserves the right to photograph and reproduce any entry for educational or publicity purposes in any format. ALFB is not responsible for labels or misspellings, errors or other omissions taken from artist’s information.

• Featured artist must submit all information on time.
